GhostProp

Trading rules, in plain English

These rules apply to every GhostProp evaluation and funded account. Hit the profit target without touching your drawdown floor, follow the consistency rule, trade like you would with real money, and request payouts on demand once you are eligible on your plan.

Rule 1

Overview

GhostProp offers 50K futures and 10K perps evaluations, with three ready-made plans in each: Shade, Phantom and Specter. Build your own sets each rule from the same list of choices.

What the plan sets

Your profit target, drawdown, daily loss limit, consistency rule, position size, profit split and payout caps. Everything else on this page applies to every plan unless it says otherwise.

Simulated

Every account is simulated: trades never reach a live market, and payouts are performance rewards paid by GhostProp based on simulated results. See the risk disclosure.

Rule 2

Futures evaluation

Futures evaluations trade CME Group futures. You pass when your balance reaches the profit target and your best day is within the plan's consistency share. There is no minimum number of trading days.

Trading day

A trading day follows the CME Globex session, which ends at 17:00 ET. Daily loss limits, consistency and the trailing floor are measured per trading day.

Flat by 16:50 ET

All futures positions must be closed by 16:50 ET each trading day. Positions open at that time are closed for you. No overnight or weekend positions.

News trading

Allowed.

Max position

The most contracts you may hold at once, counted in minis, with 10 micros equal to 1 mini. There is no time limit and no minimum number of trading days.

Rule 3

Futures funded accounts and payouts

When you pass and complete identity verification, you get a 50K funded account on the same plan. Shade and Phantom charge a one-time $149 activation fee; Specter has none and is funded at the pass.

Activation

The fee is charged only after you pass, is never discounted, and your evaluation converts into the funded account as soon as it is paid. On Specter it converts at the pass. Funded accounts keep the plan's drawdown, daily loss limit and position size.

When you can request

  • Profit since your last payout, above the withdrawal buffer: the starting balance plus the drawdown plus $100 ($51,600 on Shade, $52,100 on Phantom, $52,600 on Specter).
  • No day above the plan's consistency share of the cycle's profit: 20% on Shade, 40% on Phantom and Specter.
  • No open positions when you request.
  • No winning-day count and no minimum number of trading days.

How much

Only profit made since your last payout can be withdrawn; the buffer always stays. The minimum request is $250, and each request is limited by your plan's payout cap: one cap for payouts 1 to 3 and a higher cap from payout 4 on ($750 then $1,000 on Shade, $1,000 then $1,250 on Phantom, $1,250 then $1,500 on Specter). Your share is 80%.

On-demand processing

Request any day once you are eligible. A request that passes review is paid the same business day. The amount is deducted from the account when you request, and a new cycle starts. Each funded account can take up to 6 payouts. Payouts come from the payout fund, which receives 50% of every purchase.

Worked example

A funded Phantom account closes at $52,520 with no day above 40% of the cycle's profit. Everything above the $52,100 buffer can be requested: up to $420, and at least $250. A $400 request takes the balance to $52,120 and starts a new cycle.

Rule 4

Perps evaluation

Perps evaluations trade perpetual futures, open 24/7, on a 10K account. You pass when your balance reaches the profit target with no open positions and your best day within the plan's consistency share, without touching your drawdown floor or your daily loss limit.

Percentages

Perps terms are a share of the $10,000 starting balance: 1% is $100. There is no time limit, no minimum number of trading days and no activation fee.

Funding

Perpetual positions held at a market's funding time are charged or credited funding. Funding counts toward your balance, profit target and drawdown.

Rule 5

Perps funded accounts and payouts

Request a perps payout any day you have profit since your last payout. Each payout is that profit, up to the plan's cap. There is no buffer and no winning-day requirement.

Flat at request

Close every position before you request. A request that passes review is paid the same business day.

Split and caps

The profit split is 80%, up to the plan's cap per request: $150 on Shade, $200 on Phantom, $250 on Specter. The minimum is $50. No day may be above the plan's consistency share of the cycle's profit. Up to 3 payouts per account, and $25,000 in total perps payouts per trader.

Rule 6

Drawdown

Your drawdown floor is the lowest your account may go. If your balance, including open profit and loss, touches the floor at any time, the account fails.

End-of-day trailing

The floor starts at the starting balance minus the plan's drawdown. After each trading day, if your closing balance is a new high, the floor moves up to that high minus the drawdown. It never moves down, and intraday highs do not move it. On futures, it stops trailing at $50,100.

End-of-day vs intraday trailing, explained →

Static

The floor is fixed at the starting balance minus the drawdown and never moves. Perps Phantom (4% static) has a floor of $9,600 for the life of the account, however high the balance goes.

Worked example: futures Phantom, $2,000 drawdown

SessionClosing balanceHighest closeFloor
Start$50,000$50,000$48,000
Day 1: closes at a new high$50,600$50,600$48,600
Day 2: reaches $51,400 during the session$50,900$50,900$48,900 (the close counts, not the intraday high)
Day 3: closes lower$50,300$50,900$48,900 (never moves down)
Later: a close of $52,100 or more$52,100$52,100$50,100, stops trailing

Rule 7

Daily loss limit

The daily loss limit is measured from the balance at the start of the trading day, including open profit and loss. Every ready-made plan has one; Build your own can remove it.

Futures

  • Half the drawdown, soft: $750 on Shade, $1,000 on Phantom, $1,250 on Specter. Reaching it closes your positions and ends trading for the rest of that day. The account stays open, and you trade again the next day.

Perps

  • Shade 2% ($200), Phantom 3% ($300), Specter 4% ($400): hard. Reaching it ends the account.

What no daily loss limit means →

Rule 8

Consistency

Consistency rules make sure a pass or a payout reflects repeatable trading rather than one outsized day. A large day never fails the account.

Evaluation

Your best single day may be at most the plan's share of your total profit when you pass: 20% on Shade, 40% on Phantom and Specter, on futures and perps. Example on futures Phantom: with a best day of $1,500, you pass once your total profit is at least $3,750, because $1,500 is 40% of $3,750.

Funded

In a payout cycle, no single day may be more than the plan's share of the cycle's profit: 20% on Shade, 40% on Phantom and Specter. If one day is above that share, the request waits until more profit in the cycle brings it within the share.

How the consistency rule is calculated →

Rule 9

Short-trade rule

On funded futures accounts, if more than 30% of a day's trades last under 5 seconds, the profit from that day's profitable short trades is removed from payouts. The account is not failed.

Why

It keeps payouts tied to trading that would be realistic in a live market.

Rule 10

Accounts and copy trading

Every account must belong to, and be traded only by, the verified account holder. You can hold up to 5 funded accounts at a time.

Account limit

If you pass an evaluation while you already hold 5 funded accounts, the new funded account waits until a slot opens.

Copy trading

Allowed across up to 5 of your own accounts at a time, using the same direction on each.

Rule 11

Prohibited conduct

The following are not allowed on any account. Breaking these rules can lead to removal of profits, denial of payouts and closure of every account involved.

Between accounts and people

  • Hedging across accounts: opposite or offsetting positions in the same or closely related instruments across your accounts, or with another trader's.
  • Account sharing or third-party trading, including paid account-passing services.
  • Multiple identities to get around account limits or payout caps.
  • Coordinated trading: opposing or mirrored trades with other traders that move risk between accounts.

Against the simulation and the rules

  • Exploiting the simulation: price errors, stale or delayed data, latency, fills that would not happen in a live market, or platform faults.
  • Gaming the rules: strategies whose purpose is to pass or reach payouts through the rules rather than through trading, such as all-or-nothing bets sized to hit the target or the floor in one move.
  • Payment abuse: chargebacks or payment disputes on fees for services you received.

Rule 12

Payout review and identity

Every payout request is reviewed against these rules. A clean request is paid the same business day; one that needs more review may take longer, and you are told why.

Identity (KYC)

Complete identity verification before your first payout. The name on your verified identity must match your account and your payout method.

Discretion and taxes

Payouts are performance rewards paid at GhostProp's discretion, exercised in good faith and in line with these rules. A request that breaks a rule may be reduced or denied, and a serious or repeated violation closes the account. You are responsible for any taxes on payouts.

Rule 13

Changes to these rules

We may update these rules. Changes apply to evaluations bought after the change is published, unless a change is needed to stop abuse or comply with law. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Questions go to support@ghostprop.com.

Questions

Rules questions

Compare the plans on the plans page or ask support.

When does the trailing drawdown stop moving?

On futures, when the floor reaches $50,100. With futures Phantom's $2,000 drawdown, that happens after a closing balance of $52,100 or more. Perps Phantom and Specter use a static floor that never moves.

Does a big day fail my evaluation?

No. If your best day is above the plan's consistency share when you reach the target, you keep trading until your total profit is large enough. Every ready-made plan has one: 20% on Shade, 40% on Phantom and Specter.

Can I trade the news or hold overnight?

News trading is allowed. Futures positions must be flat by 16:50 ET, with nothing held overnight or over the weekend. Perps markets are open 24/7.

Is copy trading allowed?

Yes, across up to 5 of your own accounts at a time, in the same direction on each. Hedging across accounts, or trading with or for another person, is prohibited.

Can the rules change after I buy?

Changes apply to evaluations bought after the change is published, unless a change is needed to stop abuse or comply with law. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
